Alireza Mehdizadeh,

is an Iranian classical musician and Kamancheh instrumentalist; was born in 1980 in Tehran. When he was 12, he started to learn Violin, from instruction of his first teacher Manouchehr Veysanlou. He has played Kamancheh after college and he could obtain BA on the year 2006 from the Soureh University in Tehran where he studied Classical Persian music (Dastgah modal system). Since then, he has joined Homay & the Mastan ensemble. He also received instruction from various masters of Traditional Persian Music such as, Samer Habibi, Aliakbar Shekarchi, Saeed Farajpuri and Ardeshir Kamkar. Alireza has performed over hundred concerts in Iran, North America, Europe and Australia. Besides, being a permanent member of Mastan ensemble -which performances have been held at notable and sizable venues across the globe- he has made numerous recording and live performances in close collaboration with various musicians and ensembles including Chang, Mahtab-rou and Soroushan. He also has experienced of teaching music and instructing Kamanche over 7 years at different institute such as IranZamin Music school as well as being a tutor.

Kamancheh lessons are scheduled on an individual basis and the lessons are 1/2-hr, 3/4-hr, or 1-hr in length depending on the experience and commitment level of the student.
